How do I delete a fan?

margo

I get this question a lot. The answer is that store owners can’t delete fans. If you are a fan, you can choose to remove yourself from being a fan of a store or you can delete your account.  Here’s how to do it:

1. First log in to a Flying Cart store with your fan login.

2. Click on Profile to view your fan profile.

3. To remove yourself from a store fan club, click “Edit my Profile”.  Then scroll to the bottom where all your favorite stores are listed and click on the red X button next to the store that you want to remove.

4. To delete your whole fan account, click “Delete my account” at the bottom of the page.

Did you know…? Everyone with a Flying Cart store can use their account login to log in to the fan club of any other Flying Cart store. There is no need to create a separate fan account if you already have a store account.

Occasionally someone might post something negative on you fan club that you don’t want your customers to see. When you are logged in to your own fan club, you have the authority to delete fan postings by clicking on the red x’s that appear next to each one.

If you have a Flying Cart store account, you automatically have a Flying Cart fan account. Your store login and password can be used to log in to any Flying Cart store fan club including your own.

New! Start a Fan Club

I love Fans.  People that love you for what you do.  They are the best marketing tool you have.  Someone that tells all their friends about your products.  It is priceless!

Now you can invite customers, friends, and family members to join your store fan club.  Each fan can easily create a profile, upload a picture, bookmark products, and invite their friends.

We also added a way for you to stay in touch with all your fans via HTML newsletter to announce sales, events, new product additions, or just to say hi.

Why we launched this feature:

A big part of creating a successful online store is keeping old customers.  If you can create a community around your products, get people excited, and generate repeat customers you no longer have to rely on external factors like search engine rankings.  We have a lot more in store regarding the fan club (we have only launched a very basic version today) so stay tuned and PLEASE let us know if you have any ideas on what to add.

HOW TO START?

You can easily turn your Fan Club on or off at the bottom of your store settings page of your headquarters.  Can’t wait to see how people use this!
